I would make that play again in the same situation but it was what it was. Toronto deserved the cover after having one of their best passing games of the season. They also seemed more loose – likely because they were all but eliminated from playoff contention the week previous.<o

[FONT=&quot]Hamilton is on only 5 days rest after the shootout with Montreal this past Sunday. I wouldn't read too much into their performance versus Montreal other than Montreal was clearly on cruise control defensively.

[FONT=&quot]Toronto is in the spoiler role and have something to play for this week against Hamilton and next week versus Edmonton - two teams on the playoff bubble right now. Of those two games I think this is more likely - over their provincial rival.[/FONT]
Usually you never ask a bad team to win for you but given the circumstances I think this is worthy of a play.

Toronto +4 is a brave pick because the public usually like favorites. Still, some reasons support it. 2009 has been a pointspread bonanza for dog lovers. Oddly, Toronto tends to overachieve against Hamilton. Hamilton is 2-12 ATS and has losted 11 of 12 previous meetings at Toronto. In yards, their offenses are close but Toronto defense is second best while Hamilton defense is second worst.

Thanks for the note...I think that trend speaks to the rivalry and although Toronto is out of the playoffs the spoiler motivation should be strong here IMO.

QB Glenn is an upgrade over Porter but the heralded performance versus Montreal last week is highly overrated in my view. Glenn had one of the best games of the season by any CFL QB last week. Montreal had no sacks for only the second time this season and allowed a season/league-high 506 yards passing - the week after clinching first place. Would that happen in a division final? I don't think so. The week before, Glenn mopped up against Winnipeg but had most of his yards when Winnipeg thought the game was in the bag.

Nothing's a sure thing but I like the situation and the intangibles. Playing a game on 5-days rest as a road favorite - unfamiliar territory for Hamilton - versus a team that would make their season by knocking you off is a tough task. We'll see.

The line opened at 4, dropped to 3 and now is 3.5 in most places.

Over the past # of years I can only think of a couple of instances I've disagreed w/Ice. I just think the Ti Cats r a completely different team w/Glenn @ QB. Laying pts against the Argo defense is tough. I played Ham on ML earlier this wk ,as I did last week with Edm (thanks to Ice liking them).

Like alot of you, I favor the under(would be all over it w/Porter vs Joseph),as neither one likes to stretch the D. Scares me that Hamilton could get up early,and TO score a bunch vs that TiCat D in a soft prevent mode.
Like the 1st half U more than the game U.

Hell N.I. I was under the impression, at least based on what others were saying awhile back, that you were one of the best, if not the best, CFL cappers around. However based on tonight's pick, I'm beginning to wonder if those same people who labelled you even know what a fucking football looks like period.
